Wouldn’t ‘plump’ be better be translated as ‘crude’ or ‘heavy-handed’ here – “clumsy” really only refers to physical awkwardness, but I think he’s commenting on the over-done directness of the flirting?
Also “Gegenüber” sounds weird as “opponent”, probably just “the other person” or “opposite number” would better while still trying to keep it reasonably literal (keeping in mind the whole sentence doesn’t come across as something a native English speaker would ever say)

Germans flirting? I didnt know it was possible, germans are one of the most boring and cold people in the world, men and women ignore each other.German women are one of the most frigid and masculine women in the world in attitude, mentality, looks and fashion,no wonder many emotionally and sexually deprived  german men travel to other countries to meet women

The trouble is: German girls never start flirting this openly

I really hate the hypocrisy of the concept that girls are never expected even in modern societies like germany to strike up a conversation with men, it always has to be the other way round, for men it is considered normal to start flirting or show interest. even in germany! its so wrong.

The fact there is a huge microphone skews the results somewhat.
